SNIC - Prof Lee Soo Ying Awards

SNIC - Prof Lee Soo Ying Awards

SNIC-Prof Lee Soo Ying award is a prominent award that will be presented during the Chemistry National Meeting Singapore (ChnmSG) in July 2023. It consists of two types of awards which are the SNIC - Prof Lee Soo Ying Young Chemist Award and the SNIC - Prof Lee Soo Ying Early Career Research Award.

SNIC-Prof Lee Soo Ying Chemist Award is for candidates that have submitted their thesis or have obtained their PhD degrees within 2 years. SNIC-Prof Lee Soo Ying Early Career Research Award is for candidates that have obtained their Ph.D dgrees for more than 2 years and a postdoctoral research fellow/research fellow who work in Singapore for at least 1 year. The works that they carried out must be done in Singapore.

All the winners are required to present in the Chemistry National Meeting Singapore (ChnmSG) in July 2023.

SNIC - Prof Lee Soo Ying Young Chemist Award

Winner (Gold award): 1 person
Winner (Silver award): 2 persons

Award terms and conditions for Prof Lee Soo Ying Young Chemist Award:

(1)   Applicants should have already submitted their theses or they should have obtained their PhD degrees within 2 years.

(2)   No restriction on universities which applicants graduated from, but the applicants graduated from non-local university must now work in Singapore. Applicants graduated from local university do not need to be working in Singapore.

(3)   No restriction on nationality.

(4)   Excellent publications records.

(5)   A member of SNIC; non-members should submit their SNIC membership applications before applying for this award.

(6)   Applicants will obtain or have already obtained a Ph.D. in chemistry (organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, computation, materials, polymer, bio, medicinal, environmental, radiochemistry or related fields).


SNIC - Prof Lee Soo Ying Early Career Research Award

Winner (Gold award): 1 person
Winner (Silver award): 2 persons

Award terms and conditions for SNIC - Prof Lee Soo Ying Early Career Research Award:

(1)   Applicants should have obtained their PhD degrees for more than 2 year. They should have been working in chemistry-related research field in Singapore for at least 1 year.

(2)   No restriction on universities which applicants graduated from.

(3)   No restriction on nationality.

(4)   Excellent publications records.

(5)   A member of SNIC; non-members should submit their SNIC membership applications before applying for this award.

(6)   Applicants must have obtained a Ph.D. in chemistry (organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, computation, materials, polymer, bio, medicinal, environmental, radiochemistry or related fields.
