Chemistry Camp is a 3 day programme as part of National Chemistry Week-2009 hosted by the department of chemistry, National University of Singapore. Students from junior colleges are encouraged to participate in this chemistry based educational and recreational event.

Chemistry Camp primarily aims at providing junior college students an exposure to the research activities and developments in chemistry at NUS while creating a learning platform to explore an exciting world of chemistry through hands-on laboratory activities, demonstrations, interactive sessions and workshops, and social events. The key objective of this programme is to motivate the young students to develop scientific awareness and to enhance their intellectual curiosity for chemistry through safe and fun-filled chemistry experiments and group activities. Students will also participate in various chemistry based competitions and the winners will be awarded with prizes and certificates of merit.

Come and join us to experience the spirit of Chemistry Camp-09. The registration fee per student is S$300 which will cover all accommodation (for two nights) and meal expenses, lab and instructional cost.  Students will be accommodated on the NUS campus. Transportation to and from NUS is the responsibility of the student. 

As places are limited, only students showing a genuine interest in chemistry will be selected for the Chemistry Camp-09. Students can complete and fax the registration form to Tan Lee Hoon, Department of Chemistry, 3 Science Drive 3, National University of Singapore, Singapore 117543 by fax at 6779 1691 or by email to chmtlh@nus.edu.sg.
