Workshop A – Alternative Sources of Energy
Oops! The clock has stopped again. What is in that battery that makes the clock tick? What can you do with an orange, a peanut and a coke can? Can energy be created?
Explore the use of everyday materials in generating energy to run household appliances.
Workshop B – Counting calories
Many people fret upon the idea of having to count calories in their daily diet. Calorie counting helps to build your knowledge and awareness of what is in what you eat, and what your body really needs. As long as you eat less calories than you burn up each day you will lose weight.
But just how much calories are there in the sandwich and orange juice you took for breakfast? Where did the information on the food labels come from?
Design your own food labels as a well-informed consumer and start counting calories with us.
